How to Install opam software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

opam software package provides package manager for OCaml, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install opam

opam is installed in your system.

Make ensure the opam package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep opam *

You will get with opam package name, version, architecture and description in a table

opam package basic information:

Section Ocaml
Package opam
Version 1.1.1-1
Description package manager for OCaml
